It is believed to have been in print - and in demand - longer than any other tactical book ever written for law enforcement. Street Survival, along with the seminar that grew from it, are credited with having revolutionized officer survival training, providing a common core of instruction to protect police professionals physically, emotionally, and legally in more that 50 countries worldwide. The original is widely known as the “Bible for law enforcement” and has certifiably saved the lives of hundreds of officers over the past 38 years. This book is a re-write to the original Street Survival book published in 1980 by Charles Remsberg. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book Arresting Communication: Essential Interaction Skills for Law Enforcement and now co-author of a new book, Street Survival II: Tactics For Deadly Force Encounters. He is a nationally recognized trainer, 15-year lead instructor for Street Survival Seminars, expert in communication skills and tactical mindset, and owner of Calibre Press. He spent 15 years as a Commander and during that time oversaw investigations, patrol and a major crimes task force. Jim Glennon was a police officer for over 29 years.
